Cwmllynfell and Ystradowen Coal Mining Heritage Trust wanted to raise the awareness of the Miners Memorial Garden and rekindle the mining history and to pay tribute to all those miners who worked/died in Cwmllynfell Colliery, and we wished to go that extra mile and create a space where members of the community can sit and remember their loved ones, knowing that their legacy will be remembered for years to come.

Cwmllynfell and Ystradowen Coal Mining Heritage Trust are delighted that the Welsh Government have funded 'Keep Wales Tidy' working with 'Local Places for Nature Scheme funding', said: it has helped to create a new memorial garden.

Carmarthenshire County Council gave us permission to use and redevelopment of the unused land.
