Welcome to the volunteers of the communities of ‘Cwmllynfell and Ystradowen Coal Mining Heritage Trust’.

Introduction:

Phil Turner, his wife Sandra & Joseph Turner [grandson] were the founder volunteers of the group and more volunteers joining Phil Turner, his wife Sandra & Joseph Turner: - 
They were: - Mrs. M. Allen. Mr. T. Paynter. Mrs. K. Corbett.

Inaugural Meeting.

A newly formed volunteer group held their inaugural member’s meeting of 'Cwmllynfell and Ystradowen Coal Mining Heritage Trust’. This being the first meeting there are no previous minutes.
The meeting was held at ‘3 Y Goedlan, Woodland Road, Ystradowen, SA9 2YW on Wednesday, 03. Jan.2022 at 6.30pm.

The volunteer group was made of Nine [9] volunteers who attended.

In attendance were: - 

Observer: T. Addey.

As adopted on the 05th of January 2022.

Volunteers present: M. Allen. T. Paynter.  S. Turner. P. Turner. M. Saunders. L. Saunders. V. Croft. C. Evers. J. Turner. 

The Agenda included:

1. To Discuss the possibility of forming a miners memorial garden group.
2. Arrangements for the Annual General Meeting.

Phil Turner, acting project coordinator opened the Inaugural meeting, at 18.30p.m in 3 Y Goedlan & Woodland Road. Ystradowen. By welcoming the volunteers and outlined the purpose of the meeting.

“The evening went pretty well with plenty of suggested names, and after a debate, it was agreed to the name: - ‘Cwmllynfell and Ystradowen Coal Mining Heritage Trust’. 

Arrangements for the first Annual General Meeting was made for 18.30pm. on the 05th of January, at ‘3 Y Goedlan, Woodland Road, Ystradowen, SA9 2YW.
